The Italian tenor Dario Pometti earned a Bachelor’s degree in Opera Singing with honors at the V. Bellini Conservatory in Catania, Italy (September 2014 – July 2017).
He later completed a Master’s degree in Opera Singing with honors at the G. Martucci Conservatory in Salerno, Italy (September 2020 – October 2022).
He further refined his artistic training through several prestigious masterclasses. In 2020, he attended the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, where he worked with Ernesto Palacio, Luca Canonici and Franco Fussi, and in the same year he took part in the “AMO Teatro Coccia” Academy in Novara, studying with Paoletta Marrocu and Chiara Amaru. In 2021, he continued his advanced studies at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, working with William Matteuzzi and Daniele Gatti.
In June and July 2019, Dario Pometti appeared at the Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca (Italy), where he covered the role of Paolino in Il matrimonio segreto by Domenico Cimarosa, conducted by Michele Spotti and directed by Pierluigi Pizzi. During the same festival, he performed the role of Toby in Robinson Crusoé by Jacques Offenbach. In August 2019, he performed the role of Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi by Vincenzo Bellini at the Festival of Acquaviva delle Fonti in Bari (Italy). In September 2019, he sang the role of Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola by Gioachino Rossini with Opera City at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo (Italy). In October 2020, he appeared as Belfiore in Il viaggio a Reims by Gioachino Rossini at the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro (Italy).
From November 2019 to June 2022, Dario Pometti performed as Comte Barigoule in Cendrillon by Pauline Viardot, at the Teatro Coccia di Novara, Teatro Giuseppe Verdi di Trieste, Teatro Giocosa di Savona and at the Luglio Musicale Trapanese in Trapani (Italy).
In August 2021, Dario Pometti took on the role of Conte Alberto in L’occasione fa il ladro by Gioachino Rossini at the Teatro dei Rozzi, as part of OperaLab – Accademia Chigiana in Siena, conducted by Nicolò Jacopo Suppa and directed by Lorenzo Mariani. In June 2022, he appeared as Matteo Borsa in Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi at the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in Trieste (Italy).
From January to June 2023, Dario Pometti sang the role of Tamino in Die Zauberflöte (Il flauto magico, il suono della pace), a special educational production within the Opera Education – AsLiCo project. The production featured a musical arrangement by Giacomo Mutigli and was directed by Caroline Leboutte, with performances at the Teatro Sociale in Como, Teatro Romolo Valli in Reggio Emilia, Teatro Olimpico in Rome, Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in Pordenone, Teatro Amilcare Ponchielli in Cremona, the Teatro Comunale in Bolzano (German version), the Bregenz Festival (Austria, German version), the Teatro Grande in Brescia, the Arena Sferisterio in Macerata and the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan (Italy).
In February 2024, Dario Pometti began his collaboration with Vienna-based musical institutions. Since autumn 2024, he has been a member of the Zusatzchor der Wiener Staatsoper, participating in productions at the Vienna State Opera such as Il ritorno di Ulisse in patria by Claudio Monteverdi and La bohème by Giacomo Puccini.
In 2024, he was a regular guest in a series of concerts organized by the Viennese associations Take5 and Opera on Tap, performing a repertoire ranging from Baroque music to the bel canto works of Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti.
