The Korean baritone studied Vocal Performance at Yonsei University, where he completed his bachelor’s degree (2014–2021) and master’s degree (2021–2023) under the guidance of Prof. Antonio Junmo Yang. In 2024, he enrolled in the Opera Department at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW), where he continues his studies with Prof. Christoph U. Meier.
In 2025, he appeared in a staged role interpretation of the title role in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi at the Schlosstheater.
He has received numerous awards at major vocal competitions. In 2023, he won Second Prize at the Dong-A Music Competition, First Prize at the Vocal Music Competition of Gwangju, and Third Prizes at the Daegu International Vocal Music Competition, the Sollim Vocal Music Competition and the JoongAng Music Concours. He was awarded Second Prize at The Korean Voice Competition in 2022 and received the Grand Prize and the Sungjung Music Award at the Sungjung Music Competition in 2020. Earlier distinctions include Third Prize at the Universal Competition (2013), the Highest Award at the KICS Music Competition (2013) and Second Prize at the Haneum Music Competition (2012).
As a concert singer, he has appeared in numerous performances, including the SPO Rush Hour Talk Concert A Classical Dining Table with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (2025), an invitation concert of the Gwangju Philharmonic Orchestra (2023), the Jihun Kim & Jihun Park Duo Concert at Kukje Art Hall (2023), the 7th and 6th Vocal Concerts for Outstanding Young Artists (2023, 2022), the Sollim Young Artist Concert (2023) and a solo recital at Yoon Juyoung Hall at Yonsei University (2023). Further engagements include the 26th Anniversary Classical Concert of Gangwon CBS (2021), the Second Crossover Music Concert and the First Crossover Opera Concert organized by Daehan Cinema (2021), the 5th and 4th Classical Music Journey Concerts for Outstanding Young Artists (2021, 2020), the Winner’s Concert of the Sungjung Music Competition (2020), the Young Artist Concert (2019), the Musician Classic Outstanding Young Artist Concerts (2017, 2018), the Memorial Concert and the 1st Memorial Event for the West Sea Protection Day Concert (2017), as well as the Young Artist Concert (2016).
During his studies, he also participated as a choir member in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore (The Elixier of Love) at Yonsei University (2015) and in further choral productions at Ewha Womans University (2014).
He is a recipient of several scholarships, including the Hwangjin Scholarship of the Sungjung Cultural Foundation (2022), the Outstanding Scholarship for Performance and Practical Skills at Yonsei University (2018–2021) and the Music Scholarship at Yonsei University (2018–2021).
